A second 3D measuring machine (CMM) with a 1,200 × 1,000 × 800 mm measuring volume has been installed in our measuring room. It runs beside the existing machine in a room held at 20 ± 1 °C.
With two machines, series inspection and first article reports run on separate machines; a first article report now takes two days on average instead of four.
